When we work on designs for our tees, we subconsciously insert references to our childhood, the 80’s, the music we like, and other things which we just simply are into and love. We obviously hope that you guys out there get the vibe through the style and appreciate our efforts.
Every once in a while, along comes someone which is bang on the same page as us, and seems to manage to explain it all even better than we could ever do. One of these guys is Paul from buy-tees.net.
Read the post here , and take a look at his other posts. He sure knows what he’s talking about. Thanks Paul.

Something went wrong in the Fat-Lab today. Very wrong…
Ok, I stole that tagline from the movie The Fly, but when we were kids movies like The Fly, Arachnophobia, and The Swarm left their mark. So to overcome our childhood phobias and fears, our therapist recommended we face our fears…
Not one for the faint hearted, our new Insect Brain Tee is out. Available in a fluorescent green on black colourway. Grab ‘em while you can.
Here at Fat Gold we’re after the hottest and loudest beats – the best noise our ears can hear. So our favourite phrase is now on a tee in a great purple to red gradient. One of many more to come, ‘Never Live without Noise’ is available in all the standard sizes on our usual quality jet black tees.
Well, when working on new Fat stuff, I usually let iTunes decide what I listen to, because if not i’ll just listen to Chromeo non stop. Not a bad thing you say? Not when you know each breath P-Thugg takes from that talk box. Sadness. Any way, Itunes kindly threw in this NIN track, a track that I was obsessed with when it was released. I was so obsessed with it that I had remixed it. Watch the vid. Trent is the man.
26 Years ago to the day, in 1983, Phillips and Sony introduced CD technology. The revolution had started. Getting everything to fit in smaller spaces, be as silent as possible, and digitizing everything to make it mobile. I admit I have summarized 26 years in one sentence but that’s what this is all about. We’ve got huge music collections, but the shelves next to our stereo are empty. We’ve got thousands of photos, but the leather clad albums on the shelves are empty (or non existent).
Photos, music, books and videos disappear into our computer’s hard drive, where we forget about most of them. Many of the framed photos around our house are from before 2000, when the digital camera became king.
Let’s try to keep it alive. Let’s have a healthy amount of culture clutter our home. Let’s clog shelves and corners with books, magazines, newspapers, and CDs. Let’s rewind for a second…
