A bunch of friends went up to the coolest and hottest European festival this year. This is what they did….Pics by S + W

Q&A with Sarah Snow

Best Act of the entire festival?
Without a doubt – Sigur Ros. Mainly for being such a one of kind type of band. The vocalist – who was so shy and timid when he spoke to the audience – was also the guitarist. He played the guitar with a violin bow almost treating it as a violin. The bassist, at times, used a drum stick to play the bass by hitting the strings, they had ppl on xylophones, ppl singing through the ends of trumpets, even their image (costumes, makeup and all that jazz) was so amazing, a proper fantasy land… yeah, DEFINITELY Sigur Ros! Don’t think I’ve ever seen any other band manage to make the whole festival stay in complete silence just to hear them play. Amazing.

Camping or 4 star Hotel?
Camping, its all part of the fun.

Who snored the most?
Don’t recall anyone snoring.

Who farted the most?
Haha, AIDAN!

Front row? For which act?
We spent the whole of Saturday on front row – The Gossip, The Hives, Editors, Kings of Leon, Ben Harper, Sigur Ros, Radiohead

Chemical Bros or Justice?
I’d have to go for Chem Bros cause I missed Justice to see Kaiser Chiefs (and yes, it was well worth it) [I can't believe you missed Justice! - Kenji]

Sigur Ros or the Hives?
Sigur Ros by far, don’t get me wrong I love The Hives, but the whole “WE ARE GODS BOW DOWN TO US” attitude put me off hardcore.

Lenny or Soulwax?
Soulwax and their 2manydj set straight after.

Moby or Digi?
Digitalism didn’t impress me much, I stayed for Pogo and ran off to Moby who I at first thought wasn’t the best choice to be a good last performance of the night, but the whole thing was remixed and they really pulled it off – not to mention his female vocalist made my jaw drop with the high notes she was reaching.

Do it again?
Hell yeah!
